“The Possession” Composer Anton Sanko Interview

Award-winning composer Anton Sanko takes The Comet Couch to talk about his latest film, “The Possession,” which will opens August 31. The film’s soundtrack will be released on Lionsgate Records on August 28. “The Possession” was produced by horror master Sam Raimi along with Robert Tapert and J.R. Young and directed by Ole Bornedal.

Sanko is know for his work scoring the hit HBO series “Big Love” starring Bill Paxton. Last year he scored “Rabbit Hole” starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, directed by John Cameron Mitchell.

He recently won an Emmy for his score to the epic seven-part television event “Great Migrations” for National Geographic.

A producer and writer, Sanko has collaborated with artists such as Suzanne Vega, Jim Carroll, Anna Domino, Lucy Kaplansky, and Skeleton Key.

He as scored over 25 films including “Saving Face,” “Party Girl” and “Scotland, Pa.”
