Michael Levine composer for the hit TV series, Cold Case sits and chats with Q score host Jonathan McHugh. They discuss Levin’s work on the acclaimed series Cold Case as well as being part of some of the coolest films including Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and The Simpsons Movie. They also discuss his latest project City 40. Michael Levine is an eight-time ASCAP Film and Television Music Award winner for scoring the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced Cold Case series. As well as being a respected composer of concert music, he also wrote the music for the iconic Kit Kat “Gimme A Break” jingle, arranged the choir version of The Simpson’s Movie’s “Spider Pig”, and produced Lorde’s spooky rendition of “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” from the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack.
Jonathan McHugh has spent over two decades working in film, TV and music. Mchugh’s background ranges from record and film company marketing and promotion, producing music themed film and TV shows, to years of music supervision and soundtrack production. McHugh continues to stay active in the industry and bridge the gap between, music and visual media. McHugh illuminates the process of matching composers, songs, and score to specific scenes by talking to the music supervisors responsible for creating the magic.
