Lady Gaga and Glamour, Drew Barrymore and Natalie Portman, and Spring 2014 Geometric Dresses on Tailor Made with Brian Rodda

Today on Tailor Made with Brian Rodda on Empowerme.tv, Brian is joined by Filmmaker, Creative Consultant, and Celebrity Stylist, Jen Kleiner.

First up they dish about Lady Gaga Slamming the Glamour Cover

During Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards this week the December Glamour cover girl accepted her award with criticism of her own recent Glamour photos. From Carnegie Hall, Lady Gaga said she was going to use her voice to speak up about her cover.

“I felt my skin looked too perfect. I felt my hair looked too soft,” said the star. “I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning… “It is fair to write about the change in your magazines. But what I want to see is the change on your covers… When the covers change, that’s when culture changes.”

As a side bar, this is not the first time Gaga has been airbrushed:

How important do you think Magazine Covers are Jen for adding to the cultural conversations around beauty and image, Jen?

“Drew Barrymore is pregnant and other great Pregnant dresses!”

I owe an apology, last week, I dissed Drew Barrymore.

Well, I just want to say, that, if y’all haven’t heard by now, Drew Berry is, as my sister likes to say: “Pregos” or as they say in Spanish “Embarasada”.

I just want to take this moment to apologize and say that even if it wasn’t baby weight gain, I’m not sure it was appropriate for me to point it out, I really just didn’t care for the Lilliane Westwood gown you were wearing.

But what a great time to point out that angles do make all the difference in the world, because I then went back and found this pic from the same evening:

Obviously, bringing Drew back, inspired us to talk about an obvious topic:

The “I’m with “Child” and I’m still rockin’ this outfit” pics. First up: Jennifer Garner 2011, then Natalie Portman 2011, and Michelle Moynahan September 2013.

So what if you’re not pregos but have a few extra lbs…you’d like to hide? Well, our magical elves, ie Jen Kleiner, did a bit of research and found these little gems for all you ladies to consider: Bethany Frankel’s Skinnygirl slimming bodices, Spanx, and a less expensive version on Amazon.com called HEavenly Shapewear.

In our final segment we discuss Spring Designer Gown Trends with designers Prabal Gurung combined classic and athletic elements for this silk and satin gown with a painterly stroke of stacked sequins.
